Technical question about updates for more than 1 month

In order to save time and hassle I update my old laptop by downloading update packages from the catalog website on my PC and transferring the files on to its hard drive and running them.

I have now got 2 months of updates to do which means: cumulative KB4456655 for September and KB4464330 for October, so I assume that the September should be done then the October one - but - what if I just do the October one and miss out September to save even more time, will that work with a cumulative update?

*I will of course be doing the 'Malicious software removal tool' updates in the correct order as well along with Office updates

    :)

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Technical question about updates for more than 1 month :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
