  1. Teredo Adapter not working at all

So, I'm trying to play Forza Horizon 4 and my NAT won't qualify for the life of me, I've spent several hours on this and I have decent knowledge of how to get around Windows.

Used to work fine, left my PC dismantled for 2 months, rebuild it and it didn't work anymore, 2h+ of fixing and nothing worked, updated Windows, it worked, now out of the blue it stopped working once again.

I've tried setting the teredo on manually through prompt and nothing

    netsh

    int teredo

    set state type=natawareclient or type=client

Doesn't change a thing, it stays disabled now (the last time it would change to client, but still wouldn't work).

Tried a few register key changes, nothing

Tried to install group policy (my Windows is Home Edition), installed it, but there is no TCP/IP folder in there.

Also tried opening every door I could find connected to Xbox on my modem, to no avail.

Tried to find Teredo Adapter in device manager to reinstall, it doesn't appear, even as hidden device, and I can't install it either.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WORKS, THIS IS DRIVING ME MAD. And I'm sure the problem is with my Windows because I've tried to use my phone's 4G and it didn't work either. Also tried to restore the system, but it failed.

Please don't come to me with ready-made answers.

    :)

  2. Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter not Found

    Hi,

It started off from teredo unable to qualify for Xbox connection.

Then, I tried following tons of suggestions through showing hidden drivers in Device manager, changing DisabledComponents value to 0.

However, I still cannot find Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter.

I tried to install it by adding legacy hardware with all ways, but there was no Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter in the list of the Microsoft Network Adapter .

Teredo Adapter not working at all

    Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface Adapter Missing

    Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I would like to know the reason you are trying to install the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface Adapter, so that we can suggest you alternatives. If you are trying to install it for Xbox app on Windows Computer then we can have the dedicated team look
    into it.

However here are some steps that you can try. To enable Teredo adapter:

    • Right-click the Start icon, and then select
      Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Run the following command from the Admin command prompt:
      • netsh interface Teredo set state type=default

**The Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter will reinstall automatically. Don’t install the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface adapter manually in Device Manager, as this may cause issues with Teredo functionality**

Also check to see if Teredo is disabled in the registry by a program or by a manually configured registry value.

    • Right-click the Start icon, and then select
      Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Run the following command from the Admin command prompt:
      • reg query HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\iphlpsvc\Teredo
      • If the output includes the following line, Teredo has been disabled:
      • Type REG_DWORD 0x4
    • You can re-enable Teredo by running the following command from the Admin command prompt:
      • netsh interface Teredo set state type=default

    Check the TcpIp6 registry path:

    • Right-click the Start icon, and then select
      Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Run the following command from the Admin command prompt:
      • reg query HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TcpIp6\Parameters
      • If the output includes the following line, and the value displayed is not
0x0, Teredo may have been disabled:
      • DisabledComponents REG_DWORD 0x8e
    • You can re-enable Teredo by running the following command from the Admin command prompt:
      • reg add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters /v DisabledComponents /t REG_DWORD /d 0x0

Important: The registry is a database in Windows that contains important information about system hardware, installed programs and settings, and profiles of each of the user accounts on the computer. Windows often reads and updates the information
    in the registry.

Normally, software programs make registry changes automatically. You should not make unnecessary changes to the registry. Changing registry files incorrectly can cause Windows to stop working or make Windows report the wrong information.

**Please take a backup of the registry. To take back up, follow the steps mentioned in article:

How to back up and restore the registry in Windows.

    Hope it helps.
