  1. Teredo is unable to qualify

I'm writing this with the last shreds of my patience... so, a couple of weeks ago I got the game pass for Windows and the value looks pretty good, EXCEPT for the small detail that games require Teredo to work online. Some don't even reach the menu if it's not working.

I have gathered some information online and put together a list of admin shell commands to use, see:

Set-Service iphlpsvc -StartupType automatic Start-Service iphlpsvc Firewall Policy BlockInbound,AllowOutbound netsh advfirewall set currentprofile firewallpolicy blockinbound, allowoutbound netsh advfirewall firewall set rule name="4jxr4b3r3du76ina39a98x8k2" new enable=no reg query HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\iphlpsvc\Teredo netsh interface Teredo set state type=default netsh interface Teredo set state type=default netsh interface Teredo set state servername=default reg query HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TcpIp6\Parameters reg add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters /v DisabledComponents /t REG_DWORD /d 0x0 netsh interface teredo set state type=enterpriseclient netsh interface teredo set state servername=win10.ipv6.microsoft.com

and those fix the IP helper never starting, plus "other more or less random stuff" coming from https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/Hardware-Network/connect-network/troubleshoot-party-chat https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help...server-connectivity-xbox-app-displays-blocked https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/bqnwi9/microsoft_teredo_tunneling_adapter_missing_in/

I have BitDefender and I found out that if the firewall is enabled, there's no way, so I keep it disabled.

If after my list of commands I do "Netsh Int Teredo Show Stat" what I get is:

    Teredo Parameters

Type : enterpriseclient Server Name : win10.ipv6.microsoft.com Client Refresh Interval : 20 seconds Client Port : 3544 State : offline Error : none

and obviously if I "Check again" the Xbox live networking I get NAT type Teredo is unable to qualify, with server connectivity blocked. If I check in the BitDefender firewall (still disabled, mind you) I see only my physical network card, no Teredo interface.

So anyway, if I keep spamming that shit in increasingly more random order for the whole afternoon, it usually breaks something and confuses Windows into working. It's about as fun as manually configuring Wine so I can try Quake 3 on Linux back in 2000.

As you might imagine all of this goes away with a reboot, because Microsoft. A handful of hours ago I installed the update KB4579311, with reboot.

Please help, and thanks in advance.

    Teredo unable to qualify

    Hi JayKay,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Failure to obtain a Teredo IP address can occur when there’s an issue with your Teredo adapter, when a device on your network is blocking the Teredo protocol, or if there’s software installed on your PC that’s disabling
Teredo functionality. If you haven’t tried the methods listed in the following articles yet, I would suggest you to try them first and see if it works:

    Note:

Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry
if a problem occurs. To backup and restore registry key, refer to this
    link.

If the issue persists, I would suggest you to
    uninstall
and re-install the Xbox app to see if you can get it to work.

    • Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose Windows PowerShell (Admin).
    • Copy and paste the following command and hit Enter:

      Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxApp | Remove-AppxPackage
    • Reboot the computer once the command is executed.
    • Once the machine restarts, launch Microsoft Store and reinstall the Xbox app.

After reinstalling the Xbox app, open Windows PowerShell (Admin)
again and copy paste the following command to enable Teredo.

netsh interface Teredo set state type=default

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards,

    Teredo is unable to qualify

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing issues while playing games as Teredo is unable to qualify. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below.

    1. Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?
    2. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?

    Refer the article
Which version of Windows operating system am I running?

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to refer the article
    Teredo is unable to qualify
    and see if that helps.

Note: Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can
restore the registry if a problem occurs. To backup and restore registry key, refer to

    this
    link.

In addition, as you have mentioned that Norton is blocking a port which is being used by Teredo adapter, I would suggest you to try disabling the antivirus and check if the status changes.

Note: If you disable the security software or firewall, the system might be temporarily exposed to security threats and risks. Please make sure to turn it on after performing the steps.

You can also create an exception in Norton for the ports, refer the article

    Use the Add Rule wizard
