Windows 10: Text size keeps changing just about everywhere on Windows 10 20H2.

First some information. I have a 32" 4K monitor running at 3840x2160. In order to make things readable I set my OS DPI to 200%. Additionally I set 'Make text bigger' to 130%.


When I boot up my system most of the time these settings take affect. Occasionally they don't and text appears smaller even though the font sizes are what they should be as well as DPI and 'Make text bigger'. When the text size is as expected it will without fail become noticeably smaller after a period of time. All the text size values still remain the same so it's not like the values become smaller. I have tried many things to track down the problem but so far have not found a solution.


One thing I notice about 'Make text bigger' is that it always makes the text on Universal Apps bigger then on things like menus. The text preview box when making text bigger always shows what the Universal App text will look like not the text in regular apps. I wonder if Make text bigger is really meant for universal apps but inadvertently affects non UA's?
My ideal solution would be to up my DPI to 225-250% but many apps become DPI unaware over 200%. I have way to many programs to change each one individually by using the DPI feature on their Property menu. Also some apps look crazy if I do do this.


As a point of reference the text I see in this post appears to be honoring the text sizes I chose. At some point I'll notice the text size is smaller.


So..... Anyone else seeing text size change across the board especially if you set your text size the way I do?

• A pop up will appear showing the Display settings.
