  1. The app that replaced "Movie Maker" that is now in "Photos"


    I literally stumbled on this app, but it doesn't seem to be able to:

    1. Create DVD's That are playable on a std DVD player.

    2. Is on "one Drive", which I'm told is not on my computer, but in the "cloud" or somewhere else.

    3. The discs that it does create, can only be played in MP4 on computers

    4. There are no real instructions on how to use this app, and its capabilities.


    As you can probably tell by my question I'm not really tech savvy, but "Geek Squad" was of no help, in getting me answers either.

    Windows 10 don't support Movie Maker app

    I suggest you to try the steps given below and check:

    Repair the Movie Maker.


    • Type Programs and Features in the search bar and click on the first selection.

    • Under Programs and Features, "Windows Live Essentials" is listed. Highlight and click "uninstall/change" at the top to get the repair dialog.

    • The repair actually applies to all the installed components of the Essentials package, including Movie Maker.

    If the issue persists, then I suggest you to download the latest version of Movie Maker (2012). Please refer to this link:
