Windows 10: the at symbol and double inverted comma symbol is interchanged in my keyboard

When I want to type the symbol - at-. Or - inverted commas. They are swopped around. So on my keyboard I press shift then the number 2, and up comes inverted commas. Likewise when I press shift and the symbol for inverted commas, the at symbol comes
up. I don't know how to get it back to the way it was. Please help. Many thanks

 

comma button and colon symbol

Hello,

After update my phone to Windows Phone 8.1 I lost colon symbol from "dot" button submenu.

I turned on "comma" button, but submenu of "dot" button still has comma-symbol too. Why do we need 2 comma symbols in this case? Is it bug or a strange feature?

Previous version of Windows Phone (8) has colon in "dot" submenu.

resetting keyboard symbols

Hi Carol,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you to remove English UK and just have the default English US under keyboard input language and check.

Step 1:To keep English US as the default input language and to remove other installed services

a. Type Settings in the search bar and click on the setting symbol on the top right.

b. Click on Time and Languages.

c. Click on Region and Languages.

d. Under the languages tab.

e. Click and Change the language to English US.

Step 2:Use on screen keyboard to type the characters (@, “)

To use on-screen keyboard, follow the steps below.

a. Click on Start; type “On-screen” without quotes and hit Enter.

b. Now check if you’re able to get right characters.
