HDMI port suddenly not working on Dell Inspirion?

Hello!

I have had a Dell Inspirion 7352 since the summer of 2015, and have connected it many times through an HDMI cable to my television. Now, tonight, it suddenly is not working. When I connect it to the TV, it flickers back and forth between a black screen and
static - something that's never happened before.

I used the same HDMI cable on my BF's Playstation 4, and it worked.

I also have used the same HDMI cable to the same television with my laptop multiple times in the past.

So, why isn't it suddenly not working? I even went into the Display settings, clicked "Detect," and it said it didn't find anything.

The Dell Inspirion 15 3000 sometimes just comes with a blank DVD cover, the model with that cover does not actually have a DVD drive in the specification . . .

Have you updated the drivers for Lifecam HD-3000?

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the drivers in Compatibility mode and check if it works:

Follow the steps to uninstall the driver:

• Press Windows Key + X key.
• Click on Device Manager.
• Right-click on the driver listed and click on ‘Uninstall’.
• Select the option to Delete driver software.
• Restart the computer after its uninstalled.

Now download the drivers the manufacturer website and install it in Windows 8.1 compatibility mode. Follow the steps provided below to install the drivers in compatibility mode:

• Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.
• Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select Windows 8.1 operating system from the drop down.
• Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it.
