    Hello everyone, I'm experiencing a problem where I can't download any DirectX, NET Framework, etc. because of the Component Store being corrupted with an Error 0x80073712.

    I tried running DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth, and it said that the Component Store is repairable so I assume that means they found corruption?

    But when I try to run either ScanHealth or RestoreHealth all I get is this:

    [== 4.5% ]

    Error: 14098

    The component store has been corrupted.

    Does anyone know how to fix this? I can't install the things stated above because of this problem.

    I also get this problem when trying to download Windows Updates:

    Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x80073712)

    I also tried doing sfc /scannow - both on safe mode and normal but I keep getting Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.

    KB3194496 - Corrupts Component Store?

    Hi. I've been trying to install update KB3194496, but without success.

    Before installing it, DISM /CheckHealth reports "No component store corruption detected.".

    When trying to install the update, DISM aborts giving the error code 0x80073712 with the message "The component store has been corrupted".

    A subsequent DISM /CheckHealth run reports "The component store is repairable".

    I can repair the component store but it is seemingly corrupted again the next time I try to apply the Windows update.

    I reinstalled Windows and on a pristine install the problem reoccurred. "Sfc /scannow" and "chkdsk c: /f" report no problems.

    Please advise.

  3. KB3194496 - Corrupts Component Store?

    I'm also stuck. Every update hasdownloaded without a problems until this latest update KB3194496 1607 14393222. This cumulative update startsdownloading and gets to 10% then I receive the error 0x8007375. I've tried most of the suggestions on variouswebsites. Including:
    1) • delete folder C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\Microsoft\XblGameSave
    • delete registrykey:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\Tree\M icrosoft\XblGameSave
    • Re-run the update

    Still stops at 10%.

    I’ve also run the various cmds with the following results:
    2) Dism /OnLine /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    Deploying Image Serviceing and Management tool
    Version: 10.0.14393.0
    Image version: 10.0.14393.0
    The component store is repairable.
    The operation completed successfully.

    3) Dism /OnLine /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    Deploying Image Serviceing and Management tool
    Version: 10.0.14393.0
    Image version: 10.0.14393.0
    [=====100%====] No component store corruption detected.
    The operation completed successfully.

    4) From ‘Cmd: Dism /OnLine /Clean-Image /RestoreHealth’ sometimes Ireceive this result:
    [== 4.5% ]
    The remote procedure call failed.
    The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs|DISM\dism.log

    5) On other occasions from ‘Cmd: Dism /OnLine /Clean-Image/RestoreHealth’ I receive this result:
    [=====100%====] The restore operation completed successfully.
    The operation completed successfully.

    The end result is still the same in that the update does not install.

    6) I have even downloaded the update and tried to install it manually. The result is just the same, it does notinstall! See below:

    Help!! I tried installing pubg on my laptop but it required .NET FRAMEWORK 4.7.2 SO i manually downloaded the file both the web and offline version from official Microsoft website.. But i couldn't install them either. It says ,something like 'installation
    not succeed'. Followed by Component store is corrupted....

    Every other software on the download list can be updated except for .net 4.7.2 .. And i have no idea after that pliz help.. And sory for my terrible English.. Thanks in advance
