Windows 10: The data area passed to a system call is too small Error running paid AppStore app called...

Hi there,


OK - so I just activated WSL on my machine, and installed Ubuntu 18

(bit of context: I've got a dual drive system where my windows drive is c: and my user profiles and data are on drive d


so now I did some research about XServers, and decided to try out X410 from the App store.

Just out of interest - I've used VcXrv on a previous installation; and decided to try something else on this installation.


So, I paid for the app, and downloaded it through the store (I just clicked the "Install" button).

Then - when I tried to run the app I get the following error message: -

I installed TurboTax 2018, then when I went to run it the second time, I get "The Data Area passed to a System Call is too Small".... what does this mean, and how do I fix it ?

Error message was the title of my post - "The data area passed to a system call is too small" and as stated
cannot remove last update on windows 10 because windows 10 will not allow it..
