  1. The desktop crashed after updating to Windows 10

My HP laptop has Windows 10 installed, included with the purchase. I think it's a restored model and whoever restored the system didn't know exactly what they were doing. From the first day it has been very slow: the cursor will literally skip words as I write the programs that are running will suddenly disappear. I cannot use the recovery option, none of the options available. The recovery process could never be completed each time the same error message is received.

The start-up takes forever, it basically sucks and I don't know what to do.

I just need help: no matter what I try to work, the level of frustration increases immediately, in 2 minutes I am waiting and I am not sure if the system will work for me.

    Please help

    Thank you very much

    :)

Windows 10 Creators Update Available for Download

Not sure about the games you listed but no probs with Dirt Rally and benching heavensward-bench here for me. I'm going to test 3DMark too in a few minutes.

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

The desktop crashed after updating to Windows 10

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
