  1. "The Device is not ready" when opening exe files

Hi.. Im would be glad to receive a feedback..im having trouble when opening my exe files.. When i open an app i does nothing but when i run it as admin it says

    C:/user/something/something/something.exe

    The device is not ready.

When i click ctrl+shift+esc to launch Task manager nothing happens. Or if i manually.find task manager from system32 and run it as admin it says

    "File location"

    The device is not ready

My third party apps and games says the same error.

I cant open start and right clicking it does nothing

And in my taskbar (bottom right) there is no wifi icon, and some icons are missing

But luckily i can still open explorer.exe using WIN+E. And view some photos using picasa.

    What should i do?

    :)

    Exe file slow to open

A SFX archive isn't going to open right away. The files have to be extracted first. When you are opening it in WinRar, it's not extracting the file, it's just reading it which is why it opens right away.

How to open a .exe file

    Hi,

An EXE file (also known as executable file) contains an executable program for Windows. EXE is short for "executable," and it is the standard file extension used by Windows programs.

For us to better assist you with this, we'd like to know the following:

    • Were you getting an error when opening a .exe file?
    • Was it compressed (zipped)?

Usually, you can just double left-click the .exe file (if not compressed) to open it. However, if it's compressed, you need to install a 3rd party software to extract it.

We're looking looking forward to your reply.
