the device or resource (www.microsoft.com) is not responding.

A while ago my windows stopped getting updates and Cortana and onenote sync and all other MS related services were not working.. I got this error from network troubleshooter and it took me sometimes to figure out what is the problem. There were some solutions suggested but non of those worked. .I solved the problem and I shared it here for others that might have the same.

What I did is that I checked my wifi connection and I found out that I am connected to my home wifi as a public network. So I changed it to private network and the problem solved. So the problem was related to my firewall setting.

Even though the problem is solved still I am sure that I havent changed my firewall setting and surprisingly even I tried turning off the firewall as the first solution but it didnt work and just when I changed my wifi connection to private the problem disappeared. One of the windows updates might have caused this problem.
