Windows 10: The exception Privileged instruction. (0xc0000096) occurred in the application at the location 0x000

I was downloading a game on my laptop. I left to school and came back three hours later. It finished downloading but my laptop had turned off by itself I didn't think much of it. I turned back it on and it worked fine and I decided to play the game. Played it for 30 mins because it kept kicking me due to my very slow internet. I then closed the game and turned off my laptop by pressing power button and shift to reset. I didn't turn it back on for 30s and I also turned off my router for 30s and plugged everything back and turned it on. The logging screen was loading then the error code popped up and I was pressing ok thinking it was something small but It kept popping up. The error code reads as follows.


The exception Privileged instruction. (0xc0000096) occurred in the application at the location 0x00007FFE92720839


You tried a number of factory resets and other available options when in safe mode. Another thing I should add is I bought this a week ago and it's been like this for 4 days so it is new. I have no saved file to load back too.

Application error 0xc0000096 on Windows 10

This week, after I have installed some Windows 10 update (KB4457128) on my Acer laptop, when I open Google, I get this Windows application error message: "The exception Privileged instruction. (0xc0000096) occurred in the application at location 0x00000000777108813.
Click on Ok to terminate the program."

While clicking on Ok removes that screen message, I don't want to see it every time I open Google. What can be done to fix this?

Cant access the login screen

Cant access my computer at all





I click OK and nothing happens

I click to EXIT out of the error message and nothing happens

Click on OK to terminate the program.

NVDisplay.Container.exe - Application Error

The exception Privileged instruction. (0xc0000096) occurred in the application at location 0x0000000062B6B5B6.

Click on OK to terminate the program.

What is this and how do I fix it?
