Then what does the GRUB menu show? One of the options besides Ubuntu, advanced Ubuntu, MEMTEST and the different kernels should be BIOS settings.

Whar are all of the entries listed in the GRUB menu?

Of course what you said about GPARTED is incorrect, I use GPARTED to modify my hard drives all the time, that is the purpose of GPARTED. Also consider adding a GRUB customizer to your Ubuntu installation to give you more booting options.

You are correct, Rocky; I am wrong. I meant the HD you boot up on.
Also, I never see grub when booting up. It goes through to my home screen.

13. The first of a few questions regarding installing W10.

Still no Grub menu? Try adding this then (#):
Code: sudo -i gedit /etc/default/grub
#GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0
#GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=true
Code: sudo update-grub2
Set the previous one back to 10 and you should see it for 10 seconds now.

OK, we are getting somewhere. Grub opens with 3 options.
1. Ubuntu
2. Advanced settings.
3. System Setup.

1 opens ubuntu.
2. Turns off computer.
3 Turns off computer then restarts and repeats itself.
