Windows 10: The magnifier lens and docked mode are just black

    The magnifier lens and docked mode are just black


    Whenever I try to use the magnifier in the Lens or Docked view, it's black. It does show the window where it's supposed to show the magnified output around the cursor but the actual view is black and I have no idea why.

    My Windows 10 Magnifier in Lens or Docked mode appear completely black. In Full Screen mode however everything appears normal, magnified or not.

    It is not an Invert Color situation: that is unchecked, but even checked it shows the same. In these modes the Magbnifier is pitch black: no text nor pictures/layout is showing. Changing the magnification to 100% does not help.

    The screen resolution is set to 1920x1080 (text size: 175%). Changing the resolution and text size to recommended does not does not affect this. Color Filters and High Contrast are off. Windows is up to date.

    This is quite disturbing as I have an eye distrophy.

    Please help me with this.

    magnifier lens black windows 10

    Magnifier full screen works fine. Using the LENS mode, the lens window is BLACK.

    Windows Magnifier Lens or Docked appear completely black

    Reinstalling drivers using this method DID NOT work. I have the intel driver as well as nVidia RTX 3050. IS the RTX 3050 incompatable with the Microsoft Lens/Docked magnifier? If so, this is a serious defect in Windows.
