Windows 10: The One drive company icon and related share folders does not apper any more see screenshot

I remember that I could see company one drive on the leftsee screen. Is there any advice to make it reappear not in the quick access menu

Folder sharing across 2 computers

Thank you for the details that you've provided. We suggest that re-map the network folder to refresh the connection between the two computers. Kindly follow the steps below:

• Right click on the Windows icon and select Control Panel.
• Click Network and Internet on the left menu.
• Click Network and Sharing Center at the right menu.
• Click Change advanced sharing settings on the left menu.
• Under All Networks, turn on the Public folder sharing. (Refer to the screenshot below.)

Share folder related "not responding" in Explorer

20 years ago when you access some shared folder on other PCs that is unaccessible will render your Explorer not responding for a long time, like 10+ seconds.

For Windows 10 the above problem is solved, but there are still problems related to shared folder.

(1) If you access some unaccessible shared folder then go to other locations in Explorer, although Explorer won't get not responding, it will pop up unaccessible messages later when you are doing other unrelated things. If the user goes away, the access
should be canceled.

(2) When you add some shared folder to quick access list, then when you drag some items in list to reorder them, Explorer becomes not responding again. When I remove all the shared folders from the list, the problem disappears. So I assume this is again
due to unaccessible shared folders in the list.

There may be other related problems. The solution is to change all the code to deal with shared folder to an asynchronous way with cancellation.

 

How to change icons of network share folders?

Okay, I may be under-complicating this, but I use shortcuts to my network shares very effectively, to give each shared folder its own distinctive icon. That's what larc919 suggested in #3 above. I have a folder of Network shortcuts in my Start menu apps list, and each shortcut bears its own badge. Am I missing something about your request?
