Windows 10: The Photos App is Changing the Color of my Photos

The photos app is auto-editing all of my pictures and it's making it difficult to view them easily. When I open pictures it shows the actual image before correcting after about 3 seconds.


For example, this is what the original image looks like:





This is what it looks like when I open it in photos:





The colors of the photo are completely ruined. I have to upload all of my images to lightroom to view the actual image. There is no option in the settings for me to turn this off.


How do I fix this?

Photos are opening with Paint instead of Photos app

It's likely that your default application for opening photos is Paint. To change your default program in Windows 10 from
Paint to the Photo app, we suggest that you perform the following steps:

• On the Start menu, select Settings.
  
• Go to System, then go to Default apps.
  
• Select Photos or any app that you like to be the default under
  Photo viewer.

I would like to find out why when going to a single photo in the photo app it changes color. I have my monitor calibrated but when viewing with the window 10 photo app it will change the color .

 

Can i change the background color of the windows 10 photo app?


the background for the windows 10 photo app is black, and that is bad for transparent png and gif files.
i normally wont use it but the desktop photo viewer is giving trouble
is there a way i can change the background color to white?
