Windows 10: The power, sound, and network notifications not working?

Have you noticed lately, that in the notification area in the taskbar, the volume is not responding, the power and network icons are not coming up. That is happening on Windows 10 and Windows 7 computers. I have gone in to settings to make sure they come up, but they still don't. I have to use settings to connect to Internet, or adjust my volume, or keyboard shortcuts for my computer.

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

Please provide some additional information, so that we can assist you better.

1. What is the make and model number of your computer?
   
2. Have you made any changes on your computer?
   

However, I suggest you to follow the below mentioned step:

1. Go to “Control panel”.
   
2. Select ‘Sound’.
   
3. Under sounds tab select ‘Program event’.
   
4. Under program event, select ‘Notification’.
   
5. Make sure you select ‘Notification’ sound for startup application and system notification.

appl notification sounds have stopped working

To change notification sounds

• 
  In the App list, tap Settings > Notifications + actions, then tap an app from the list.
  
• 
  Tap Notification sound, and then do one of the following:
  
  • Tap Play to preview a sound, and then tap the name of the sound you want to use.
  • If you don’t want to hear a sound for a notification, tap None.
