    Nvidia GeForce 840M driver problem.

    Hi All,

I have a problem with my Nvidia graphic card , GeForce 840M. It keeps saying error code 43 eventhough I have updated the bios, uninstall and reinstall back the driver, and reinstall back the driver from nvidia. My laptop is originally equipped with windows
8.1 single language. This thing happens after I have updated my laptop to windows 10. I have tried uninstalling the driver many times, but no luck.

And also, some games cannot be opened, and some games can be opened, but cursor not appear, such as in my Cities XL game. How to solve this problem? This problem making me worried sick. My specification of my laptop are as follows:

    Intel core i7 4510U

    Ram 8GB

    Nvidia GeForce 840M graphic card.

    Hope you can help. thanks.

    Nvidia Geforce 840m Problem

    Hello.
I have bought a Lenovo Flex 2 and installed Windows 10 Enterprise 64 bit on it. My laptop has Nvidia Geforce 840m GPU. I have downloaded the latest version of drivers include main driver and Game Ready drivers:

    358.50-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql (Game Ready Version)
    352.84-notebook-win10-64bit-international-whql

But I have problem in running graphic games like call of duty an need for speed and etc.
When I checked display adapter properties I saw that the graphic card didn't detected and Microsoft Basic Display Adapter is default and my geforce VGA is not listed.
Here is screenshots of my problem.

    -Games are not running properly
-Screen brightness function control (F11 and F12) didn't work
    -and so on ...

nVidia - Graphics Adapter WDDM2.0 - NVIDIA GeForce 840M will not fully install

As of recently, my laptop's Nvidia graphics card has stopped working for unknown reasons. On the Device Manager, it is showing up as a "Display" in the Other Devices section but for brief periods of time does show up as Nvidia 840M. Poking around for the
following possible solutions has led to no avail:

    • Selecting "Update Driver" for the card in Device Manager: Returns code 28
    • Installing the 840M driver from Nvidia's site or through Geforce Experience: Both fail, not providing reasons.
    • Uninstalling the entire driver (it becomes renamed to 3D Video Card or something of that sort) and attempting to install drivers: Fails.
    • Updating Drivers in Safe Mode with Networking: The Windows Update menu in settings refuses to open, automatically closing out.
    • Clearing all traces of Nvidia files, programs, drivers, and registries then attempting to reinstall the WDDM 2.0 driver through Windows 10 updates: Card still not functional.
    • Various utilities including Windows Update Troubleshooter, chkdsk, etc.: No noticeable changes.
Laptop: ASUS X550LN with Geforce 840M, Windows 10

Edit: Using sfc /scannow in conjunction with update troubleshooter and DISM has allowed me to reinstall the Nvidia drivers successfully.

Are there beta drivers for Intel 4400 and Nvidia 840m?: Windows 10 is saying that it "has stopped this device because it has reported problems" for both my Intel and Nvidia graphics, and even Portal and Little Inferno are choppy so it's definitely not using my dedicated graphics. Thanks 3846
