Windows 10: The top row of my keys isn't working from my mute button to my delete button, how do I fix...

I saw a previous post similar to this, but all the solutions given to the other person didn't work. When I press Fn plus any of the other function keys, the function still doesn't happen. Whenever I press the mute button, it opens up new Microsoft tab, whenever I try to increase the volume a weird search bar pops up and it's really frustrating. When I try to press the button that lights up the whole keyboard it reloads the whole browser. I have tried troubleshooting through settings and updating and restarting my device, to no avail.

To better understand your query, please reply:

1. What do you mean by "top row not working" not working? Are you referring to keyboard top row keys?

I would suggest you to go to the safe mode and see if the problem persists.

To go to Safe mode follow the steps below:

• 
  Click on Windows key, and in the Power Options click on Restart while pressing the shift key.
  
• 
  A blue screen will appear with a few options.
  
  Click on Troubleshoot > Advanced Settings > Startup Settings > Restart.
  
• 
  Your system will automatically restart, press 4 or F4 key to go to the Safe Mode.

LIGHTS OUT ON TOP ROW OF BUTTONS ON MY HP LAPTOP

After several updates by Microsoft on my HP laptop, the lights on top row buttons (mute, etc.) went out. How do I restore these lights?

Add a button to the address bar.

I would like to add the Zoom button to my new Edge address bar. Have found the following how to do it on the web but they don't work like the instructions say.

To customize the buttons that appear next to the address bar, use these steps:

1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Click the Settings and more menu button on the top-right corner. (I assume that is the three dots in a row)
3. Select the Show in toolbar sub-menu. (Don't see 'Show in toobar)
4. Click the action button that you want to add or remove from the toolbar.
