    The update KB4524147 disables my Intel I211 onboard LAN. Is there a workaround or fix?


    After the installation of update KB4524147 in Windows 10 Education, my Intel I211 onboard LAN just won't work anymore. I tried to manually install the driver for it, but that won't do anything. Only after uninstalling the update, the LAN card works again. Had this two times already, because the update will automatically install itself again after a while. Is there any fix to this out there?

    Asus P5Q Onboard Lan issues...

    I've just reformated my pc, and it all runs fine except for the the onboard lan. I've tried every LAN driver on ASUS list, and I can't get it to work. It keeps searching for the connection, but it never finds it. The internet runs fine on my moms PC, so it can't be the internet provider*Frown The update KB4524147 disables my Intel I211 onboard LAN. Is there a workaround or fix? :( Onboard LAN is enables in BIOS, and I did try to clear CMOS without any luck.
    Any suggestions? It really sux.... I think the P5Q Pro is a buggy board...

    Thanks for your response MarenF. I have tried every setting in my bios relating to the onboard LAN to no avail. My motherboard is uses AMI bios (Rev F15) and there is no Green setting for the OnBoard LAN. There was a setting for a PreBoot Option Rom which
    I have tried enabling and disabling with no effect.

    I have also tried two other LAN (A netgear and an INTEL) cards and none work so I suspect there is some conflict between the Motherboard itself and the software. No driver will install completely.

    Every time I revert back to Win 8.1, the card works flawlessly.

    Very frustrating.
