Windows 10: The Windows 1909 SAC final release #18363 build-418 issue

We use latest windows image to perform integrate our code with the OS .

We have been using Windows 1909 SAC release builds.

Microsoft released Windows 1909 SAC final release #18363 build 418 , seeing issue in the image.

The running dism.exe found in sources folder of image, shows windows version as 10.0.18362.1

The "ver" command in CMD, shows windows version as 10.0.18362.418

The "msinfo32" command after OS install using ISO file, shows version as 10.0.18363


Only this particular build is behaving like this.

is it a bug??

Will a complete Update be available ? Do You have any idea about the reported errors of 1909 in the startup and the security options ?

While there is no official release date, it is expected that version 1909, will be released approx. on Patch Tuesday in October (2nd Tuesday of October)

If you are already running, that will be downloaded automatically as a cumulative update to version 1903, rather than as a full Feature Update . . .

Otherwise, the release of 1909 will be similar to the 1903 release, it will be a stepped release to compatible devices first . . .etc.

 

1909 in the offing?

1903 and 1909 share a common code base and use the same cumulative updates. The switch from 1903 to 1909 (18362 to 18363) is done by a separate 'enablement package' that (apparently) is not be incorporated into the .wim and is applied after first installing 18362.
