Windows 10: The WOF Driver encountered a corruption in the compressed file’s Resource Table – DISM error

When I recently updated windows. For the last two days, suddenly the screen blinks in pink color and some software has been corrupted because after opening it, it does not open when I double click or run as administrator it does not give any response. I can't even uninstall recent updates, because Uninstall option is not giving at all.So to resolve this issue, I tried to use the online dism-command in cmd run as administrator. 1st cmd: C:\WINDOWS\system32>DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth The component store is repairable. The operation was completed successfull

DISM error 4448, what file is "corrupted"

I'm unable to book Windows 10 (even in safe-mode). Lots of help posts suggest running DISM and SFC. But, 23.5%, I am getting error 4448, which I cannot resolve:

Error 4448: The WOF driver encountered a corruption in the compressed file's Resource Table.

Is the error because my USB is a mismatched version of Win10? Is the "compressed file" referring to the g:\sources\install.esd file?

• .../source:wim:g:\sources\install.esd:6... with the same result
  
• I have ensured that I am using the dism command on the same drive as the esd file, same result
  
• I have tried it with other bootable Windows 10 install versions with the same result

1. Reset Windows update components and clean up the Windows update cache.

Enter: cmd in Windows Search and open the Command Prompt (admin) > Type in the commands below and hit Enter key after each line.

net stop wuauserv

net stop bits

ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

net start wuauserv

net start bits

> After that, restart your device and try the installation again.

2. Perform an in-place upgrade of your Windows 11 (Unlike reinstallation or reset of the system, this repair process will not affect your data or programs. And won't waste a lot of time).

• Go to the Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com) to download the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool.
  

• After the downloading process ends completely, double-click the downloaded .exe file to open the tool. > Click Yes > Accept > Select the Upgrade this PC Now option > Next > Click Change what to keep > Choose to keep your personal files and apps or start fresh. > Your computer will restart several times. > After that, log in to Windows 11 and make the needed settings.
  

Note:

1. Leave 20-25G space on your system disk to perform this.
   
2. It is recommended to back your files up to avoid unnecessary data loss before performing this.
