    Thefts through Hacking


    We have had thefts recently that we think are happening through hacking of our devices and wifi. This seems to be a widespread problem in the Bay Area, including San Carlos, Redwood City, Belmont, and Palo Alto. What can be done to fix this besides changing passwords, rebooting WIFI, installing Bitdefender etc.? Where can we look for signs of hacking in the registry etc to fix this? Thank you!!

    theft aware not working after restart,on my n8 belle.are u guys also facing the same problem

    neway i managed to hack theft aware and uninstal it

    Hello Greg

    thank you for your response and the great information you provided.

    I use two step authentication for my email account and all important web sites. I also use the full version of Malwarebytes to protect my computer.

    But I will do the scans you suggested AdwCleaner and Limewire.com and let you know the results.

    I am worried though that the webcam installed on my laptop could have been hacked. I never use it and forgot about it, so never disabled it.

    Any suggestions as to find if it was actually hacked?
