    I recently upgraded from Windows 7 Professional to Windows 10 Professional because my new hardware required Windows 10. After the upgrade and activation, I thought it was all good until I first started getting Optional Features failing to install. I was able to stop that from happening but now I have a new Cumulative Update that fails every time with the following:


    There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later.


    2019-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4507453) - Error 0x80070002


    Windows Troubleshooter finds nothing.


    I am unable to manually download the update and run it. The Malicious Software Removal Tool did download and install successfully but when I try to run the manually downloaded version (which is for my version of system and OS) I get "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you’re running."


    It was easier to install updated under Windows 7. Any ideas? I do not want to install from scratch.
