Windows 10: Thick, white focus rectangle appearing around controls

Hi,

I don't know when it started, but it's most visible when I'm activating jump lists from the task bar: A thick, white focus rectangle appears around the left-most icon (Windows explorer for me). However, for me it not only includes the taskbar icons. Every now and then, this white rectangle appears around other "modern" (UWP) controls.

I know that this kind of focus rectangle also appears when navigating around UWP apps with the keyboard. However, the bug that I experience seems to be that this rectangle always appears even though I didn't initiate keyboard navigation (with the Tab key). For example, Firefox is in my foreground and a new Action center notification appears---big white border around it.

I've tried enabling and disabling every setting that is remotely connected with accessibility, but so far I wasn't able to remove this.

Is anyone else experiencing this and might have a clue what I can do to get rid of this?

White rectangles on volume control, wifi connection, calendar menus

I recently installed Windows 10 Pro to my PC. There are white borders/rectangles appearing in volume control, wifi connection menu, calendar (opened from taskbar right corner). Here are some screenshots.





I've already tried disabling Keyboard->Enable shortcut underlines. It doesn't work. Is there a way to fix this ?

 

White Rectangle

I had a white rectangle show up in the top left hand corner of my desktop. It was quite annoying. I tried changing the wallpaper, and killing a few programs in task manager. In the end I restarted windows explorer and that fixed it. Some people killed
other programs but those threads are locked. Hope it helped!

 

Black rectangle appears in search view

Black (dark gray) rectangle appearing on fresh windows 10 installation (Oct 2018) when trying to use search on start menu.

Steps:

1. Pressed start menu button.

2. Started typing.

3. Transformed to search view where rectangle appearred.
