Third party firewall notifications not showing on Windows 10

After latest Windows updates in 2020 summer, popup notifications for third party firewalls such as Simplewall and FreeFirewall had stopped working. Connections for programs are blocked and firewall apps are not showing any notifications anymore to allow or block.

The closest I could find the problem was in simplewall log file:

    "Warning","‎3/‎1/‎2021 ‏‎10:19:17","FwpmEngineSetOption","0x00000003","FWPM_ENGINE_COLLECT_NET_EVENTS","3.2.4 Release","10.0 build 19042"

FWPM_ENGINE_COLLECT_NET_EVENTS is related to Windows Filtering Platform.

I had tried reinstalling both programs and removing leftovers. I also reset Windows Firewall to default settings, but it didn't fix notifications. When I disable both third party firewalls, native Windows Firewall notifications are showing when app connection is blocked.

    :)

    Windows Firewall notifications

I have never seen a firewall notification from Windows 10, which is not surprising, because I use a third-party security suite. When Windows Defender (which includes Windows Firewall) detects that a third-party security suite has been installed, Windows
Defender turns itself off, which it did if you installed an ESET security suite. That being the case, it's a mystery to me why you're seeing firewall notifications from Windows Defender.

Your router has a different type of firewall.

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.
