Windows 10: This app has been blocked...What app?

In looking at the protection history in windows security I see a number of notations that say

"This app has been blocked" with a date and time.

The problem is, I have no idea what app has been blocked. When I hit the down arrow I am asked for permission to let the app make changes on my computer.

Not knowing what the app is, I am loathe to do this.

This is more of a curiosity question, as I have not been prevented from running anything I wanted to run.

I am currently running Windows 10 Pro version 2004 OS build 19041.450 with Feature Experience pack 120.2212.31.0 and have taken all updates.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps:

• Log in to https://familysafety.microsoft.com/ using your Microsoft Email account.
• Find the user that is correspond to the computer account on the Windows that you are having issue with.
• Click on "App Restrictions".
• Under App Restrictions, click on "App list".
• Here, you can Allow or Block the Apps/Games that you want.

And i dunno its from the app or something, sometimes i need to refresh several times to show the content

One more please add app update notification from the app or button for reporting bugs or suggestion


One suggestion, may you put menu on dropdown on top corner so we can move without pressing back again and again

Windows Firewall blocks App Store from downloading new apps

Hi,

Let's try to check if the app store you're referring to if it's really blocked by Windows Firewall. See these steps:

• Open Windows Firewall from the taskbar >
  Firewall & network protection > Allow an app through firewall.
• A new window will show up containing the list of the apps that ca be allowed through Firewall.
• Look for the app you want to be accessed, and make sure that the Domain, Private and Public are ticked. That would allow the app store to be accessed.
