There is just one problem, I AM my organization and I have NOT to the best of my recollection set ANY requirements.

This problem materialized this morning when my wife was attempting to log into Windows 10 using her usual Microsoft credentials. She clicked "I cannot remember my PIN" and the routine for changing her Windows PIN was initiated. But there was a new parameter introduced stating that she couldn't use a PIN that bore a relationship to a date; ie -- 01012000. Now, I have NOT set any restrictions on local PINs for logging into our workstations we have 4; two laptops and two desktops.

I checked the OTHER desktop and there is no such message in the Sign-in Options screen and my Daughter's PIN works fine and my PIN is working without issue on the desktop in question.

Is there some "switch" that I have flipped somewhere through carelessness? Is there an easy way to get things back to normal on this workstation?

This particular PC is running Windows 10 Home, ver. 1909, build 18363.778.

Many thanks for any assistance. I do not want to have to wipe the drive because of a careless error on my part.

    :)

    change hello pin

    Hello,

I have installed skype for business for a work meeting but on my home PC.

Apparently now I am part of an "organization" and I had to change my hello PIN with more characters (originally 4 digit).

Now I want to make it back to what it was but I cant. I restored my computer to an early restore point but it didn 't change the hello PIN nor its requirements.

    I do I leave these organization / requirements ?

  3. login pin requirements

I'm suddenly getting a message stating my pin don't meet my organizations requirements. I've been into local group policy editor and I have no option for pin complexity. I am using windows 10 pro. This began after I began to add my work email on my personal
pc. I received notification that my pc needed to be encrypted so I backed out and didn't add the email. When I restarted my pc my password and pin didn't meet requirements. I was able to edit the local policy and remove the password requirements but can't
remove the pin requirements. I did a reset on the pc with no success. Windows Hello isn't available on this device. Does anyone know how I can remove the requirements?

"PIN doesn't meet complexity requirements.. even though I've used it my entire time on Windows.."

    Hello Erik,

For us to isolate the issue of your PIN not meeting the complexity requirements for Windows 10, kindly respond to the questions below:

    • After reinstalling Windows 10, what settings have you changed before changing the PIN? Are these security settings for your device?
    • Are there any third-party antivirus programs installed on your device?
    • Have you set up Group Policy for Windows 10?

We look forward to your response.

    Regards.
