Hi all, I've seen similar posts like this, but I am so angry that I don't know where else to turn.

I have been having the process, "wsappx" DESTROY my disk usage and bring my entire PC to a standstill for about 3 days now.

It appears in about 10min intervals and the entire computer is unusable for the time it is running. I have read online about using the "gpedit" process but I cannot get that to work on my pc and I cannot update my PC as every time, windows update tells me to "try again later". (my Internet connection is not the issue)

I cannot update the Microsoft store which is causing all the issues because it WILL NOT open. I get the loading circle for ages and nothing happens, this is causing me to get stuck in a loop.

I have tried using Power shell as well as CMD, neither of which have made any difference...

I really really would appreciate any help at all! I need my pc to be in proper condition for work

    Thanks all

wsappx is using 50% of the CPU

    Hi,

Wsappx is a Windows Store program that is trawling your computer for all installed apps and telling Microsoft what programs you have, what versions etc. If it’s using more than 50% of your CPU and causes trouble on your
device, we would recommend that you disable it. You may follow these steps:

    • Go to Control Panel.
    • Look for Administrative Tools.
    • Select Computer Management then Services, you will see this entry:

Windows Store Service (WSService) "Provides infrastructure..." [Status is blank] "Manual (Trigger Start)" "Local System"
    • Now you may disable it.

Feel free to contact us if you have further inquiries.

    What is your antivirus ?

What is exactly your W10 version (command winver) ?

    Update Windows could maybe help.
