    Found this tidbit of info on a Yahoo forum while looking for a possible fix, workaround, something. I was not far from reverting back to 10586 1511 on three laptops, using the fix posted below worked immediately, no reboot, no restart IE, just make the change, close the box and everything worked as it had in 1511.

    IE11 has a problem with Yahoo home page search box

    Rob,

    I am not having a problem with specific web sites. What is happening is Yahoo is my home page for IE11 in WIN10. This has worked OK for a long time. Now the search box on the Yahoo home page does not work in IE11. If I drop down one level on the Yahoo
    home page and go to Yahoo News, for example, the Yahoo search box does work on that page.

    My IE 11 states version 11.576.14393.0

    update versions: 11.038 (KB3203621)

    Since WIN10 is less user friendly I can't easily determine whether Windows Update is actually updating IE11 and that I have the correct version of it.

    That is the situation and just to let you know, Yahoo doesn't have support in any meaningful way.
