Windows 10: THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER - Xbox Controller For Windows

Does anyone use a wireless Xbox 360 Controller for PC? (with an official Microsoft receiver) Windows 10; I am looking for the direct download to the driver software but I can't seem to find it. When I try to use the default driver from DevMan -> (right click, > Properties on Xbox Controller for Windows) and manually install a default driver from the "manual list of drivers", I launch GTA V and then half way through loading the game my PC crashes with "THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER - 0x1EA". WhoCrashed free doesn't really give much information and I'm not willing to pay for the full version as I don't usually get BSODs anymore, just one every now and then. Specs: CPU: FX 6300 overclocked to 4.2 GHz stock from 3.5. Can’t connect Xbox one controller to pc
