    Title bar text gone


    I recently messed around with theming Windows using uxtheme, but ultimately I was unhappy with the results so I reverted everything back. Since then, however, I have no text in the title bar of any programs. The title bar is bright white on every app, and I tried out a dark theme so it's possible the text is there but white. Specifically, I tried Nocturnal W10 and After Dark CC. Some of the themes link to additional programs to change various aspects of Windows, and I tried to go through all of them but I can't find an option. Everything else on the system is back to normal except the title text.

    How can I revert this correctly so my title text comes back?

    Old title: Text size issue

    I have tried to increase the text size (Win10) for all aspects of Windows (task bar, icon, message area, etc.) and after reboot, the settings are gone and I have to redo, log out, and log in and the settings only stay while I'm logged on. Have tried another
    account, changing dpi, and still the settings won't remain - gone upon reboot.

    Anyone else have this problem with Win10?

    How to change the title bar to white so that the name of the program I'm on isn't visible anymore?

    Hi, as you said, I want to hide the title bar of all programs on Windows 10 so whichever methods works I'm ok with. That means either changing the title bar to white so that the title is hidden (since the text is white so there is no contrast) or change
    the colour of the text to the same colour as my title bar so that again there is no contrast and is not readable.

    You can try running "Old/New Explorer" one more time to set defaults.

    That unfortunately did not fix the problem, the text still doesn't appear.

    The first theme you link to had a "AutoHotKey script to remove titlebars" did you disable this script?

    I didn't use the AHK scripts in the first place. I tried running them anyway and it completely removed the title bar (I couldn't close windows because the buttons were gone). No dice.
