Windows 10: To install the November 2019 update (version 1909), do I need to have the May 2019 update...

A few months ago, I installed version 1903 of Windows 10 to my Asis X451CA laptop. However, I was advised to revert back to the previous version of Windows 10 by a Microsoft Live Agent after the touchpad driver was deleted and I couldn’t reinstall it. A few hours ago, I was told that my laptop will be updating to the most recent version by the end of November.

Do I need the May 2019 (version 1903) update to install version 1909?

• Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
• Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
  • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
  • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
  • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
• The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

 

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1909 Failed to install on 11/13/2019 – 0x60244022

Just did an update and at the end, found these messages:

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1909(2)

Successfully installed 11/13/2019

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1909

Failed to install on 11/13/2019 – 0x60244022

So is the "fail" message number (0x60244022} a part of the update or just a code number for the failure of my first attempt? It is a bit confusing to me. I mean why does a failure need a number?

  Update Catalog.
• Updates for Windows RT 8.1 and Microsoft Office RT software are only available via Windows Update.
