  1. Too much contact?

Is it just me, or does it seem like Microsoft has far too many automatic contacts. My wife gets an email every day telling her to change the name of a file that doesn't exist. Every few hours I get a pop up telling me there are issues with my new password. I only changed my password so as to install a new version of a Microsoft product. Why the installation required a new password is beyond me.

Microsoft used to be not so intrusive. If I got a message from Microsoft, it was usually phishing or some other con. Normally users can find a way to stop annoying messages. But now I know it must be a genuine Microsoft communication because there is no way to stop it, as long as I am using Windows and Outlook.

And has anyone noticed how incompatible Microsoft is becoming? When my IT department installs a new report to interface with the operational data systems, the windows operating system on our pc's gets all bent out of shape. And heaven forbid they should try to introduce some security software. It is like we are approaching some complexity limit that will prevent us moving forward at all. The productivity of my department has fallen off quite a bit because we spend so much time talking to the help desk. Better faster has become glitchy and unstable. Just wondering.

    :)

    Deleting contacts from Windows 10

When you say Windows Mail Live are you referring to Mail app or Windows Live Mail?

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Open Windows Live Mail.
    • Press Ctrl + 3 using your keyboard. Right-click on the contact to delete it if it is a single contact.
    • Highlight all contacts by pressing Ctrl + A.
    • Click Delete located on the Ribbon bar.
    • Click OK when you see the message These contacts will also be deleted from Hotmail, Messenger, and other Windows Live services.

After following the steps above, all your contacts that you have manually added to your account will be deleted however, contacts coming from third-party sites such as Facebook will not be deleted unless you remove Facebook from your account.

    For Mail app:

Open People app then delete the contact.

Hope this helps in resolving the issue. If the issue persists, do get back to us. We will be happy to assist you.

    Too much contact?

    new contacts not useable

    Good Morning Ken & Helmut,
Ken, the "Mail" contacts list works for all current contacts - but not for newly inserted contacts, even after a reset of the laptop.

Helmut, Thanks for your suggestions, I will try them as soon as I get a chance.
