Windows 10: Top level window is idle

Hi guys,

I work in support for this application but this new report I have seems to be more of a windows issue than it is an issue with our application...

We have a process that takes a long time to run, say up to 30 minutes, now, we have thousands of customers using this fine but for this one, they are getting the below entry in EV and the application is closing with no error message...

Event viewer: The program "my app".exe version 3.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel. Process ID: 1984 Start Time: 01d63e3e881a374b Termination Time: 4294967295 Application Path: C:\Program Files (x86)... Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Hang type: Top level window is idle

Now this would seem to be that the app went not responding or didnt update in a long time but there is a loading bar that gets ~50% before this happens and like I said this only happens for this one PC...

Does anyone know of any config changes we could try on this PC to stop it closing hung applications like this?

Bluetooth still on while idle

Thanks for following the steps. Now, the settings won't take effect if you are only using normal PC idle mode. Normal functionality of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings are to stay connected even if PC is idle. With the settings that you have created, we would
suggest that you set your PC to automatically go to Sleep or
Hibernate once idle. In this way, the settings "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" should take effect.

To set your PC to automatically go to Sleep or Hibernate when idle, please follow these steps:

• Open Control Panel, set view by: Small
  icons.
• Look for Power Options.
• Click on Change when the computer sleeps on the left pane.
• Set a timer.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
