Windows 10: Total grey screen after booting the system

I reset my dell g3 laptop and after finishing the setup, the screen had the default background and only the recycle bin.... Nothing else. So i restarted the computer and it was showing grey screen with cursor. I restarted multiple times but the result was same. Then I tried using the sfc/scannow command. It was showing some files were corrupted and were repaired but the result was the same. Please help.

Win 10 won't boot after screen goes grey.

I did almost everything like you wrote, except

select partition 3
detail partition
select partition 4
detail partition
select partition 5
detail partition

I only got two partitions so I thougth this was not nescesery. I hope I was correct.

Then I rebooted, but the result was the same as in first post.

Again, reboot and same thing.

BTW, I booted from USB stick with the Win 10 that I have used to instal that version of Windows. All the commants in command prompt was done int the command prompt from USB stick. Was this ok, or I should have use command prompt from installed OS?

I suggest you to create a Windows 10 installation media and perform a Startup Repair on the device and check if it helps to resolve the issue.
This is an alternate way to boot the device and run recovery tools when something goes wrong with the Operating system.

Please follow the steps below to do Startup repair:

Steps:-

          Insert the installation USB drive
          and boot Windows 10 from it.
          
          If you don't have one, you can Create an installation Media.
          
        • 
          In the ‘Windows setup’ page select the ‘language to install’, ‘Time and currency format’
          and the ‘keyboard or input method’ and click on ‘next’.
          
        • 
          Click on ‘Repair your computer’ and select ‘Troubleshoot’.
          
        • 
          Click on ‘Advanced options’ and select ‘Startup Repair’
          and select the operating system.

HD5770 grey screen problem

My Grey Screen was caused by bad memory. Changed the memory and everything has been good for over a year. What i mean by this is that Grey Screens are not black and white to solve they are in the grey area. There are alot of different components within your computer that can be causing the grey screen. If you can i would RMA 1st though because the GPU may be really sensitive to your system. If you still have issues after the RMA got for overclocks and RAM.
