  1. Touch keyboard

I use a laptop with a touch screen as my primary PC, hooked to a monitor, usb wireless keyboard and mouse. However, with the limited typing I do, I usually just pop open the touch keyboard and click away with my mouse. When I initially got the computer, after I typed in whatever input cell I was typing in, the keyboard would then minimize if I hit enter, or clicked somewhere else on the screen. This was fine for a while, but I got annoyed when I had to keep launching it to type in multiple different input fields (such as filling in address, or banking information). I can't remember if I changed a setting (that I'm unable to find now) or if it just one day started on its own, but it was staying open. I preferred this. With the dual monitor situation (laptop screen and external monitor) I could just keep it open on the laptop and type with my mouse when I needed to with no additional steps. Well, then the latest update happened. One of those naggy ones that asks you every 20 minutes if you wanna restart and apply the update. I eventually did, but now my keyboard is back to minimizing every time I finish typing in a field. Is there a hidden setting to disable this? Is it right infront of me? I'm referring to the touch keyboard, with the little icon on the task bar, not the accessibility keyboard. Thanks in advance.

    Touch keyboard

Add the Touch Keyboard Icon to the Action Center

    Hi Doug,

Adding the touch keyboard on the items in Action Center is currently not available in Windows 10. However, you can change the settings to automatically show the touch keyboard when you use the device in tablet mode. If you'd like to do this, you can
    follow these steps:

    • Click on Start.
    • Open Settings.
    • Select Devices.
    • Go to Typing.
    • Under Touch keyboard settings, switch on Automatically show the touch keyboard in windowed apps when there’s no keyboard attached to your device.

If you want to provide a feedback or suggestion to Microsoft to have the touch keyboard available in Action Center, you can post it
    here.

Let us know if the suggestion above works for you.

    Keep us posted.
