Windows 10: touch pad not listed on device manager

im still stuggling with my touch pad. i cant unsinstall because its not the system anymore, however if i install the smart gesture it says 'theres a problem with this windows installer package. a program run as part of the set up did not finish as expected. ive tried all the possible solutions and followed some tutorials but still failed. i need a big help please. im using asus n550jv.

Windows 10 Lost Touch Pad Driver in Device Manager.

I uninstalled the drive ( via device manager) for the extra Ps/2 mouse driver listed> restarted and the Touch pad is now listed. Then tried to update. No results.

Went to settings> advanced touch pad settings> the soft wear shown is for a mouse not a touch pad. Tried to update HP software for my computer> identified and checked> claimed software is up to date. May try to see if it work as incompatible software. I
checked to see if software is on synopsis website. Software is shown for a touch pad but which one?

You can disable Touch pad from the Device Manager. Make sure that the mouse is already plugged in before disabling the touch pad. To disable Touch pad, follow these steps:

• Press and hold Windows logo key + R.
• Type Devmgmt.msc in the Run command dialog box.
• Press Enter.
• Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right-click on the first HID-compliant mouse entry.
• Select Disable.
• Hit Yes.

Windows 10 Lost Touch Pad Driver in Device Manager.

Success! Device Manager>Update Driver>Manually update driver>Find Synopsis Touch pad driver ( found 3 listed were the same> install driver.

This worked but I lost the ability to disable touch pad when a mouse is connected. No check mark. Must be another driver. This 'disable' only worked for one secession. Good try to upgrade THIS driver on line.
