Windows 10: Touchpad - Disabling 3 fingers gestures

Recently I'm having issue with my touchpad because when I accidentally put 3 fingers it triggers events I don't want to (like turning back to Desktop and seeing recent app).

I have an ASUS but ASUS Smart Gesture doesn't allow to disable it by GUI so I decided to set to "0" some registry with regedit from the path "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\ASUS\ASUS Smart Gesture".

The registry I edited are:

1. bThreeFingerDown
2. bThreeFingerTapping
3. bThreeFingerUp
4. bThreeRightAndLeft

Unfortunately it doesn't change anything and when I reboot those registries comes back to "1".

How can I disable 3 fingers gestures?

Note: The article talks about enabling the gesture, to disable the gesture we need to make sure the box next to Three Finger gesture is unchecked.

April 2019 update - 3 fingers swiping gesture problem

I understand that you are unable to use the three fingers swiping feature not working after updating the version of Windows. We will need some clarity on this issue to guide you accordingly. Hence, kindly respond to the questions
below.

1. What is the make and model of the PC?
   
2. Which touchpad driver is installed on the PC?
   

I would suggest you to check the gesture settings in the touchpad settings. Follow the steps to check for the gesture settings.

1. Open Settings > Devices > Mouse.

1. Now on the right hand side click on
   Additional mouse settings.
   
2. Select the Device settings tab and click on
   Settings.

Disabling touchpad gestures in Windows 10

Hi Andrzej,

Precision touchpad is one of the improvements recently brought to Windows 10 to support touch gestures. Is you device running on Windows Creators Update? If yes, follow the steps below to disable touchpad:

• Go to Settings.
• Select Ease of Access.
• Click Touchpad.
• Under Touchpad, toggle the switch on or off.
• You can also uncheck the box beside Leave touchpad on the when a mouse is connectedoption to disable it when you use a traditional mouse.
  

Once done with the steps above, check if the issue will persist.
