Windows 10: Touchpad gestures aren't working after using a wired mouse

Hi, I use a Dell laptop, OS Windows 10 Pro Core i5 3rd Generation and at the start, when I used no mouse, but only the touchpad, the gestures like two finger scrolling, switch applications, show open apps, zoom in and out and all the other gestures worked fine. But after the first time I plugged in my USB wired mouse, all gestures stopped working suddenly. Mind you, the touchpad works, what I want to say is that the gestures seem to have got lost or disabled. I don't know. Please help me.

Precision touchpad and Logitech mouse gestures in a VM?

I'm looking for the best VM setup where I can use the touchpad with Precision gestures or for Logitech Master mouse with all its gestures in a VM.
Having "just" a plain mouse in a VM, is really limiting when you are used to lots of gestures that can make your work much easier.

I tried to install Logitech Options software in VMWare, but couldn't get the mouse to be recognized because the host takes over the mouse, with both bluetooth and Logitech USB receiver. Not sure if that's possible somehow?

Would Logitech mouse gestures or Precision touchpad gestures work in Hyper-V?

I've never tried Hyper-V, btw. I just a need a good and comfortable VM for Windows host and guest, where I can do a software work as comfortably and easy as possible.

 

touchpad gestures two finger scroll not working Asus 501

Hi there,

1. Go to N501VW | ASUS Global Downloads
2. Download the latest ATK - ATKPackage driver
3. Download the latest TouchPad - ASUS Smart Gesture (Touchpad Driver)
4. Uninstall both the Touchpad driver and the Asus ATK package driver.
5. Reboot
6. First install ATKPackage driver (IMPORTANT to do this FIRST)
7. Reboot
8. Then install the TouchPad driver (may need to reboot)
9. Test if all is working as it should

I had this same issue with my Asus UX305 when I upgraded to Windows version 1803 and doing the above steps solved the issue for me.

 

Disabling touchpad gestures in Windows 10

Hi Andrzej,

Precision touchpad is one of the improvements recently brought to Windows 10 to support touch gestures. Is you device running on Windows Creators Update? If yes, follow the steps below to disable touchpad:

• Go to Settings.
• Select Ease of Access.
• Click Touchpad.
• Under Touchpad, toggle the switch on or off.
• You can also uncheck the box beside Leave touchpad on the when a mouse is connectedoption to disable it when you use a traditional mouse.
  

Once done with the steps above, check if the issue will persist.
