Windows 10: Transfer of Windows 10 Home to New PC

Hello everyone!


I have seen many threads across the internet regarding my question and I am still confused on how I can do this. I wish to have a up-to-date solution. So here is my situation:


1. I purchased a RETAIL copy of Windows 8.1 back in 2014? [I used the CMD command slmgr -dli to find this]

1.2. I still have the DVD and key for the purchased Windows 8.1.


2. I have upgraded it to Windows 10 and using the above said command it says Retail Channel I assume this means it is retail version of windows 10.


3. Under Settings > Update and Security > Activation it says: Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account.


All my PCs are custom made.

Now I wish to make a new PC rig new Motherboard, SSD, HDD, GPU, everything. Completely separate build.

The build will be coming with a Trial version of Windows 10 according to the PC store

The old rig will be scrapped.

Is there a way to transfer the Windows license from the old rig to the new one?

I am open to any suggestions and would prefer the cheapest and least tedious method.
