Windows 10: Transfer Subscription to new PC

    transfer windows 10 to new pc?

    It depends on how Windows 10 was originally configured on your computer.

    If its a full retail store bought license online or offline, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

    If its the free upgrade from a retail store bought Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

    If its the free upgrade from a OEM preinstalled Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is NOT transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

    Does transferring all my data and files etc to a new internal hard drive cancel my Office subscription?

    I have purchased a new hard drive because my current one is too small, and I will soon begin to transfer all my data to the new one using a trial of a software called Macrium Reflect. I am using Microsoft Office with the Home Use Program and am worried that the transfer will require me to get a new subscription. My question is, will it, and if so, is there anything I can do to avoid this.

    Transferring Windows 10 to New PC Activation

    It depends on how Windows 10 was originally configured on your computer.

    If its a full retail store bought license online or offline, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

    If its the free upgrade from a retail store bought Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

    If its the free upgrade from a OEM preinstalled Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is NOT transferable to a new computer or motherboard.
