  1. Transfering Win11 OEM license to a VM

I have deleted Win11 from my laptop and replaced it with other OS due to work, and proceeded to setup WIn11 in a virtual machine on the same laptop. My problem is I can't activate Win11 keys on the virtual machine as they key was activated during the many times trial and error process of installing it on the virtual machine. How can I deactivate the keys and to apply it to the Win11 on the virtual machine? Thanks.

    :)

Reusing an OEM Windows license in a VM

You can't transfer the OEM license that is for your Lenovo to a VM.

    OEM license and VM activation

    sorry, i wasn't clear

the host is the pc you have the VMs on, so the option was to leave windows 10 OEM on the laptop (as purchased) and put Ubuntu in a VM.

each device running windows 10 will need it's own license, if you are wanting two windows 10 VMs you will need two licenses.

    OEM license and VM activation

    Hi BubuNv

unfortunately, OEM licenses are only valid for the first device they are installed on and are not transferable.

a VM is considered a different device and requires it's own license.

there are a couple of alternatives you could consider

    1) put Ubuntu on the VM and use windows 10 as the host

    2) Dual boot windows 10 and Ubuntu
