Windows 10: Transferring SSD with Windows 10 installation to new computer

Hi all,


I have my Windows 10 license key tied to my Microsoft account and I'm planning on getting a new desktop. If I move the SSD to the new computer, can I re-activate Windows with my Microsoft account or would it be tied to the motherboard of the old device? Thanks!

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?

 

Transferring SSD with Windows 10 on a new computer with no OS.

Hi,

I've recently bought a new computer with a 1To HDD and no OS. However, this computer has a M2 SSD slot available, so I figured I would take the SSD of my current computer with Windows 10 installed on it, and install it in the new computer.

What would be the best option for me to do the transfer ? I should probably do a clean install of Windows to avoid any driver problems, shouldn't I ?

Can I just install the SSD on the other computer, boot, hoping for no crashes, then find somewhere in windows the option to do a clean install ?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
