    Transferring Windows 10 from an HDD to an SSD


    Hey, I'm looking to transfer over my Windows 10 from an HDD in my computer to the SSD in my computer. I already have both installed. Would all I need to do is to download Windows 10 on a USB stick? Sorry I have never done this before. Since the HDD is going to stay into my computer how would I do this? I'm looking to transfer it over to the SSD to have my PC run faster. I was just wondering if there was any other things I needed to do before doing so. I didn't know if I needed to somehow delete Windows 10 from my computer. Also how do I boot up my PC from the USB drive? Do I just turn my PC off after I downloaded the Windows 10 on it? Then when I reboot is it going to automatically reboot from the USB drive or do I chose which one it will? Also If I do this will I have to select to delete Windows 10 off of the HDD myself or will Windows automatically do so? Thank you

    Upgraded Windows Transfer from HDD to SSD

    Hi

    My windows was upgraded from 8 to 10 on my laptop few years back. I was trying to get the HDD replaced with SSD. During the copy process, the technician said windows cannot be moved to SSD as it is an upgraded version from 8 to 10.

    Kindly guide if there is a possibility to copy the windows to SSD ? If so, please suggest the steps.

    I have Lenovo Ideapad 320s 14IKB laptop with HDD. My laptop also has an extra slot for SSD. I am planning to add SSD in that slot and want to transfer windows 10 to SSD so that it boots from SSD.

    Q. How do I transfer Windows 10 from HDD to SSD?

    Q. After transferring, how to I activate the Windows?

    Q. Will I lose the apps that are installed in C drive of HDD?
