Windows 10: Transferring Windows 10 Pro License from a laptop that has an existing W10 Home License

Hello, just have a quick question regarding Windows 10 Licensing transfer.So I have two computers.Computer A is a laptop that came with an OEM Windows 10 Home license. I then upgraded Computer A to Windows 10 Pro with a license provided by my school I would assume it counts as a retail license. This license is linked to my Microsoft account, and I believe I still have the product key.Computer B currently has a Windows 10 Home retail license linked to my Microsoft account. It was already transferred when I upgraded the CPU and motherboard in that computer. I do not have the product key as it'

Transfer license

I have an existing laptop upgraded from Home to windows 10 pro . I will be buying a new laptop and wish to transfer the Pro license to the new laptop and restore the home license to the existing laptop. Is there a document describing this process?

 

Transfer W10 Pro license and user data from HDD to SSD

Ive got a laptop running Windows 10 pro (originally shipped with W10 standard that i upgraded to Pro) that shipped with a 1TB HDD. I want to upgrade the HDD to a SSD.

Im familiar with doing this on OSX (Mac) using a programme called Carbon Copy Cloner, which creates a bootable clone of your drive. So you just run the clone process swap over the drives and your all done.

OSX's operating system is free and thus doesn't require a license. Where as W10 / W10 pro do require licenses so i presume the license transfer process is slightly more complex.

Ive been reading up online about how to do it, but allot of the articles seem to be pointing to 3rd party software, im not sure if its the correct software to use, or an affiliate marking ploy. Can someone point me in the right direction to port / transfer my data and license from the HDD to SSD ?

I am running my laptop with Windows 10 Pro version. I have issues with my laptop and want to replace it. But the item i am planning to buy is having Windows 10 home edition.

Can i use my pro license again in the new laptop.?

• how to deactivate from current laptop.
• IHow can I transfer the license to my new laptop.
• will adding this license uograde the OS to pro version.?
