Windows 10: Tried to do windows 11 update

Hey guys, so last night while at work I decided to do a update to windows 11 on my HP Spectre x360, I got to the point where it prompts you to restart your laptop to finish the update. So I do the restart and wait. At this point the HP logo is showing and the little wheel spinning underneath it. Well it stayed like that for a couple hours. At this point my shift is over so I pack up my stuff and go home. I didn't shutdown the laptop it's still showing the logo and wheel. I thought it'll just take some time and go to bed. I woke up 12+ hours later to see it still showing the logo and wheel spin

Internet Explorer 11; Windows 10....Stopped Working

IE11; Windows 10. For the past 2 weeks when I open IE11 I get Internet Explorer has Stopped working POPUP message rendering IE 11 unusable.

I have followed suggested Fixes by "Resetting" IE11; Use Software Rendering...is NOT checked. I have tried to use "System Restore" and go back to a Restore Point prior to 2 weeks but, I get unable to restore to xx/xx/xxxx because the process cannot file iexplorer.exe.

I have tried several Restore Points...get this same result.

I cannot fine the Internet 11 Install Update to delete it as it is not in the list History\Installed Updates.

Surely there must be away to fix IE 11...I have run out of things to do...suggestions with steps will be appreciated.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

We also suggest that you reset Internet Explorer 11 through these steps:

• Go to Internet Explorer then click the Gear icon.
