Windows 10: Trim option not working Photos/Movies & TV App

I've been using those for month to trim some vids quickly and worked perfectly, but on the last few days whenever I try, about two seconds after the trim screen opens up it freezes Not Working and then it closes itself or I have to use the taskbar to close.I tried going in Settings and both Repair and Reset the App. Didn't work.I checked the Microsoft App Store but there's no update for it there.I'm using OpenShot Video Editor as an alternative but is so much more work and takes so much longer when my needs are so easily met by the Trim option already on Windows.Anyone knows how to fix this?

Movies & TV app not working properly.

Hi,

I suggest you to un-install and re-install Movies & TV App and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key.
• Type Windows Powershell.
• Right click on it and select Run as administrator.
• Type in the following command to un-install Movies & TV App.

get-appxpackage *Microsoft.ZuneVideo* | remove-appxpackage

Note: The Movies & TV App can be reinstalled using the Store App or by following the link mentioned below. You will need to exit the Store app if it is already open before reinstalling the app.

Movies & TV and Photos app not working

I tried the resetting the apps and it didn't work BUT instead all the 3 apps (Groove Music, Microsoft Photos and Movies & TV) have disappeared from the list of apps under 'Apps & features'. Thanks. Kudzi

 

Movies & TV app crashes.

It happens when I try to open Movies & TV app and also when I doubleclick on a movie file. When I doubleclick on a movie file it shows an error message "The app didn't start".

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the app (as I did with the Photos app which then worked), but this does not work with the Movies & TV app
