  1. Trimmed video doesn't save at correct framerate

When trimming a video on either the Photos or Movies & TV apps, the new video doesn't preserve the framerate of the original video; it seems to go down to 30 fps. The Photos app would be really great for trimming short video game clips usually at 60fps or greater without using a more complicated editor that would take longer to render, but unfortunately Photos just doesn't preserve the smoother framerates. Adding a small option to the editor to choose between preserving the original framerate or going down to 30fps would be greatly appreciated while not making the app too complicated, in my opinion. Some other rendering options could even be added, such as downscaling to a lower resolution.

    :)

    trim video

in the photos app, drag the white circle from the left side to trim off the beginning of the video, you should see the video change as you do it.

Drag the white circle from the right side to trim off the ending.

it will not allow you to trim the video to less than 1 second

you can play the video at any time to see what remains after trimming.

when you are happy with the result click save a copy in the top right of the screen or right click anywhere and select save a copy, it will be saved in the original location with trim added to the filename.

    trim video

How do I trim sections from a video in Windows 10? If it's to be trimmed in Photos, I'm unclear how to properly position the bottom brown line (left and right sides) and white circle....and whether/how I need to save sections to the storyboard...and
then how to save all sections of storyboard into 1 video. Very frustrating trying to find clear-cut instructions.

Trimmed video doesn't save at correct framerate

Editing (trimming) a video in Windows 10's 'Photos' App automatically saves copy with wrong date.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft community forum.

I appreciate your interest in Photos app. We did try to reproduce the issue on our test systems and trimmed video was saved with the date and time on which it was edition. So the issue could be with photos app as you mentioned that you system time
is correct. I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in the article:
Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store. You can also try to re-install the app
using PowerShell. Here are steps to re-install photos app:

    1. Open PowerShell (Admin). Right click on the start button and then on PowerShell (Admin).
    2. Then type: get-appxpackage *Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage
    3. Once the above command is successful. You can either install the app from the store or type the following command in PowerShell:
      Reinstalling apps: Get-AppXPackage -allusers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
